Heading this morning to the land of Laverne DiFazio and Shirley Feeney, to speak at the Wisconsin EMS Conference.

While I'm there, I'll be enjoying good food and beer, and trying to understand people with funny accents.

Y'all watch the place, keep the toilet lid up in case the dog gets thirsty, and make yourselves at home. There's Shiner Bock in the fridge, and plenty of Ho Ho's, potted meat and pickled quail eggs in the pantry.

I'll turn on the free ice cream machine again when I get back.

    Bro!

You are an hour and a half south of Spoon and I. You SHOULD have me number, if not you have my email. Get ahold of me, we’ll swing down!

You’ll be four blocks away from my workplace – unfortunately, they hold me hostage for a ridiculous number of hours a day. But the weather is gorgeous (for Milwaukee in January), the beer is plentiful and (once you peel off the layers of winter outwear) the women and pretty and friendly.

Can’t get to the conference, but if you’re interested in checking out some hockey and craft beer (Leinenkugel is a kissin’ cousin to Shiner) there’s a game Friday night a few blocks from the conference. the Famn Damily and I will be there

    “Funny accents”?

Like moving from WI to NC…

The other commenters are right; great food, great beer (Sprecher is a Milwaukee local that I miss being able to get) and great people!

    Enjoy the conference!

“funny accent” my butt- yesterday I heard “alla y’all” right here in Madison.  If I weren’t a transplant from further south, I woulda thunk I wuz hearin’ Arabic.

Welcome to my neck of the woods.  If you get a chance, take the Lakefront Brewery tour.   A measly $5 still (I think) gets you a pint glass to keep and all the refills you can handle on a pretty entertaining tour.  Its right near downtown.

Everyone has a funny accent but me.  :)

Oh sure, wait until I move across the country to show up at “my” EMS Conference.
