Cycles & More: The Update

Picked my bike up today. The turn signals still do not work, but that is mainly because I chose to take my bike home rather than be at their mercy for another month.

In case you came in after the previous Cycles & More post, here’s the final Mastercard ad:

Rear tire and tube replacement: $322.26

Full service tune up: $210.45

Replace mounting hardware for rear passenger footpeg (supplied by owner): $75.60

Replace and install chrome trim cap over left rear shock mount: $22.45

Unmitigated redass and aggravation from two months of waiting for my bike: N/C

Telling the dealership owner why me, Rookie Partner and Dino Medic will all be buying our next bikes and jet skis from his competitor: Priceless.

Well, it wasn’t quite priceless.

Priceless would have been seeing him fawn at my feet to make it right, and then bursting into flames from the sheer heat of my anger and burning into a greasy puddle right there on his showroom floor.

But as I left, I suggested that perhaps he should Google the name of his business and see what pops up.

He may yet spontaneously combust.

The "complaint department" nearly blew a gasket laughing when I complained. Tax man got them. They're out of business, the owner hopefully doing time.Priceless!

    Good God, I can have Sears replace all 4 tires on my Mirage for less than that one tire, and that's without the employee discount. I think even the tire places out in town, with better grade tires (the car has 170K on it, so I'm not buying 60K tires) wouldn't cost any more.Now I'll go google them and try to raise your rant's result #!

    Sorry you got screwed by your dealer. It is fitting that their names comes up as mud in Google, and I hope they DIAF. I wish more dealers would give a damn about their customers, but sadly they are few and far between.

    Thanks for the update, and I've noted it in post form.Some… many… businesses have not twigged to how modern communications can effect their customer service, or vice versa. It's like the old word of mouth concept, only everyone who wants to now owns their own newspaper to spread the good word.Some small businesses, especially family owned places that have been there for generations… may have a hard time dealing with this concept. They get complacent, and it hurts them.

U didnt even buy your bike from them but u failed to mention that. I have a business and customers get charged by attitude. People like u think u should go to the front of the line cause u have a attitude and people should lesson to what u have to say. I hope they put a get a lawyer to read your blog we'll see who has the last laugh. I bet u want put on here how much u had to pay because of slander. You moron, do you think that getting treated that way will make him want to buy his NEXT bike there???Let me tell you about Concord Subaru – we started bringing my wife's Subaru there because we didn't like the service at the dealership we bought it from. They treated us so well – in other words, they treated us like we bought it from them – that not only did we keep servicing that car there for the next 6 years, I bought MY NEXT CAR from them. THAT'S what customer service is about. Their sales dept didn't make the sale, their SERVICE department did.A lesson YOU apparently never learned, but should.Along with taking third grade over again, that is… You apparently weren't paying attention to the teacher when she was teaching you spelling and grammar.
