A missive from the (old) publisher:
The economy is in the crapper, my rent is due, my 1974 Ford Pinto has four bald tires, and one of my favorite authors has jumped ship and signed with one of the big boys.I should be begging the gubberment for a bailout like everyone else, but they seem to want to punish me for making, you know, sound business decisions, and giving my tax dollars to fat cats who didn’t.
So, no bailout for me, but I’m smiling anyway. AD’s got a potential steady revenue stream for the Double Wide Fund – one of my goals all along – and I’m still breathing.
Problem is, I’ve got all these books. Rows and rows and rows of books. A whole warehouse full of ‘em. And they ain’t sellin’.
No, not all the books – just the ones AD wrote. So before I have to use the remaining stock to fuel the furnace for the winter, I’d like to move a few of ‘em, and thus do my part to get the economy moving by offering the remaining books at a major discount.
I get to buy a swanky new set of whitewalls for the Pinto, you get to save some money, and together we get to save the economy! Now how sweet is that, folks?
You, AD’s loyal blogger friends and readers, can get Life, Death and Everything In Between for 50% off – that’s right, half price! – while supplies last. So get moving and buy, buy, buy or you may never be able to fill that gaping void in your literary edumacation!
This book is worth a million, sells to regular people for $22.95, but is available to you, because of our special relationship, for only $11.48 plus postage!
So make with the clicky and order the book, and here’s the slick part; when you reach the checkout, enter the sooper sekrit coupon code Sumdood in the little field there, and your cost will magically be cut in half!
You get a great book, I get to pay my bills for another month, and together we accomplish what a hundred idiot senators can’t – stimulate the economy! So what are you waiting for? Act now!
*Not really. But we’ll gladly beat the hell outta that guy or Billy Mays, if one of y’all can get us an address.

Done. I also got one of those National Health Care shirts that I’ve been looking at for some time.
Ahhhh… But after adding S/H back in, it turns out it’s less than a $2.00 savings! Just sayin…I still ordered my copy anyway. As a former 1974 Pinto* owner, I felt obligated to do my part!-QT*Mine was the “Squire” model: Station wagon with stick-on faux wood paneling! <>Schwing!!<>
ADGlad that you are back, have missed you. I ordered your book for myself right before Christmas and recieved it Christmas Eve, It is truly a great book and hope that all your readers will do themselves a favor and get one too! Anyone who loves you blog will really enjoy it.Hope you and KatyBeth had a great Christmas.
A new book for the TBR pile, looking forward to it!
I <>hate<> Billy Mays and that other guy. Bring me their heads on a silver platter and I will buy all of the remaining books!
Done. Thanks for a great deal on what looks to be a great book – from a soon-to-be EMT and my medic SO
Done and Done I’ll mostlikely be reading this in patho and bust out laughing thanks AD you made my day
I love the book, everyone else who I’ve shown it to has loved it as well. Glad I got to meet you at the conference, and thanks for signing my copy.
So, when I order my book later today, is there any way that you can sign it?Be safe.
Billy Mays here……….Jeeez, that guy makes me nuts!! And the ShamWow dude is over the top, what’s with that headset he’s wearing, anyway??I will pick up a couple copies this weekend, I can’t wait to get them!!
I ordered mine a couple of months ago. Love it, of course.
Great book. But…I got strange looks at the zoo yesterday when I tried to tell the people standing near the ostrich that they were next to the most dangerous creature in Africa….And on a completely unrelated note, I just got done reading a chapter on cardiology in my medic book, and they tried to make a story to describe heart blocks…but it was an epic fail compared to your “Sex, Relationships, and the Cardiac Conduction System.”
I bought 3! It’s never to early to think for Christmas 2009. Love the blog and surely the book. Thanks for keeping at it.
Thanks for the great deal and I have one on the way. Looking forward to some good reading.
