Gonna Be A Few Days…

I finally got to finish the first book last night, it was a pretty great read, I’ve got the re-release on pre-order already lol. Really love reading your stuff! And there’s probably no way I could narrow down my favorites, day well spent was good though, and you had one about Sprite up a while back that I really enjoyed…

I like the majority of your stories, but maybe put some in about EMS during a huricane. On a different note, what is your take on increasing the class hours needed to become an EMT-B from 120 to 300 next year? I can understand wanting to weed out those who are half-hearted or not serious, but for those of us working full time while taking class 15h a week it is already crazy. I do not think I would have been willing to take the risk of changing career paths if the EMT-B class I am taking was 300 hours. (1 week ’til state certification… I hope)

I am also curious about BP. I just attended another EMS conference and got an invitation from Bob Page to come to the Texas conference. I was part of a small team that competed in his “Star of Life” competition. We didn’t win first place, but 4th, but he still invited us to come play in Texas. I would have loved to come just for the conference, but that also drew me. However, I can’t get off work in that short a time, so y’all have fun without me!

Hands down, I love the Sex, Relationships and the Cardiac Conduction system. The others in your greatest hits are wonderful stories too, so I agree with everyone’s suggestions of the ones about your parents, the river and KatyBeth, etc. But part of what really drew me to your blog was your willingness to open up about everything else in your life, including your own relationships. Boy Meets Girl, and your two Anniversaries posts obviously spoke to more than just me….they resonated wtih a lot of people, especially those in EMS-related relationships. And yeah, can you give us all a relief from the suspense about BP?

SO I was reading the “My muse….” post from your favorites list and saw this….Children: “Aiiiieeeee” – instant silence. The wail of an aggrieved toddler pierces the stillness. The only thing missing is the music from High Plains Drifter – “Wooooweeoooweeeooooo…wah wah waaahhh…” I was thinking that “Wooooweeoooweeeooooo…wah wah waaahhh…” is actually from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly isn’t it??? So far all of the things I have read by you are freaking hilarious!! I found you from Boobs Injuries, too. I am definately going to be a follower. Nicole, Oregon
