Why We Do This

I know you guys like an inspirational story every now and then.

I’m working on a few of those, from recent events and from the distant past.

But my buddy Jeff has one you ought to read. He doesn’t post nearly as often as I’d like, but when he does, it’s a doozy.

Aside from being one of the few paramedics I’d trust with my life, he just gets it.

You’re a good man, JRB. We need more like you.

Dang you AD, if you’re not making us cry at work, you’re pointing us to someone who will.

No post from AD in 5 days! I hope he has spent those days writing the next chapter of “Star of Life”AD you have become my new favorite writer. The problem is I can’t go to the bookstore and plunk down $19.95 to get 200 more pages when I have read everything on your blog. In my younger days I loved Vonnegut and still do but as I get older his plots are a little too farfetched. Your writing is unique and the way you put words together to tell you story is powerful. You could be to the parmedic industry what Joseph Wambaugh was to the police. Your a better writer than Wambaugh but “Star of Life” is to emergency services what “The New Centurions” is to the law enforcement. I have enjoyed reading them a great deal. Oh, and do you really live on a houseboat?
